Episode 27: EMCrit Conference Recap
Kevin and Dan traveled to the Big Apple and Mount Sinai Medical Center for the EMCrit Conference 2019…This conference was started by Dr. Scott Weingart of EMCrit podcast and SMACC fame for the EM residents of NYC, and is open to paramedics, nurses, and other clinicians as well.
The conference this year covered a lot of interesting topics, like sepsis, airway, palliative care, and cardiac arrest management. Special thanks to Dr. Weingart for putting this on and for being inclusive to ALL levels of care; and to Dr. Jim DuCanto for coming and sharing his SALAD manikin and new wrinkles to clearing soiled airways.
While it is geared to a in-hospital audience, we picked up a couple tricks and things to think about.
Take a listen!
